About Me

I am called Ama Bawa. I was born in the Northern region of Ghana but I was raised in Dormaa Ahenkro. I attended Teacher Amoako primary and Junior High School in Dormaa Ahenkro. I started Secondary Education in Dormaa Senior High School but stopped schooling because my father who was very rich and well known poultry farmer passed away and because he did not prepare any will, all his assets where shared among his brothers and sisters. I decided to go into business so I settled on selling fruits. With the few Ghana CEDI's my mother gave me, I started selling oranges in a pan around town. When realized some few profit, I built a shed and added other fruits like pineapples, water melon, ripped banana, sugarcanes and many more.People in Dormaa Ahenkro are mostly farmers whilst few of the indigenes are engaged in growing cash crops like cacoa and cashew nuts. My two children are all aspiring to be medical doctors in future. I like singing and reading a lot.

My Business

I sell pineapples, oranges, apples, water melons, sugarcanes, ripped bananas and many more as far as they are considered fruits.I chose this because I had interest in it I considered Dormaa municipality which had most government workers and selling fruits as people know the importance of adding fruits into their diet could give me customers and today, I can boast that this business has been a very good one for me. I make sales of about ghc40 a day and even more on Tuesdays which is the market day for the people of Dormaa Ahenkro. I buy mos of the fruit items at a cost of about ghc2000. I use part of the profits I make to pay for my wards school fees. Part to buy food and clothes and I reinvest the rest into my business to obtain more profits.

Loan Proposal

I will buy pineapples at $20, banana at $15 . apples at $30 ,sugarcanes at $20 and water melon at $25. This will enable my customers obtain the fruits they want which in turn will improve their health. This is also going to increase my customer base and that will generate some profits to cater. I hope this is going to increase my profits to about 70%
