About Me

I am the 1st born in a family of four. Our family was very poor and we lived a life of extreme poverty and no hope. This situation made me drop out of school having finished my primary education. With this level of education, I could not get any good job and this how I ended up learning how to do a salon through a friend who assisted me to me to learn from her small salon shop. I later went and got a low paying house help job. It is out of some little money I got that I was able to buy a little salon equipment which enabled me to start my small salon business in a slum area. It was such a great blessing when somebody introduced me to Zidisha. Through Zidisha, I was able to purchase additional equipment. My business was picking up so well. The most unfortunate thing which took me almost to zero is when I became seriously sick and was admitted for two weeks in hospital. The girl who was assisting me in the salon took advantage of my desperate situation and ran away with all my equipment and this brought my business to the ground. I really had a very hard time in repaying my Zidisha loan as you may see from my payment records. Since life has to continue, I have now ventured into the dressmaking business to make ends meet and to support my two daughters whom I am taking care of as a single parent. I am therefore requesting my lenders to help me rise up again. I almost committed suicide when I lost all my salon equipment but thankfully I am still alive. Kindly help. To live a life of poverty is so bad. I am really struggling through bad odds to help my children live a better life in future . With friends through Zidisha, I am seeing a brighter future.

My Business

Having lost all my salon equipment which was stolen by a young lady who was helping in my business when I was in hospital, a friend borrowed me a sewing machine with which I started a dressmaking business. My parents sold their only cow and gave me money to buy clothing materials. During the month of December, I got a good number of customers. I was able to earn some money which assisted in paying rent, and taking my two daughters to school. I am now looking forward to buying an additional sewing machine and this will help get additional income to pay the Zidisha loan if I am given one. Since I deal in ladies' outfits, most ladies like to be neatly dressed and to have new fashions every time, so this is a sure business with very good income. The only challenge is the stock.

Loan Proposal

I would want to purchase an additional sewing machine The new sewing machine will cost .2500 and when I get the Zidisha loan, l will be able to top up and buy it.
It is my humble request for my good lenders to help me raise this needed money. Looking forward for your support.
Thanks.
