My name is Mariam Baya. I am married with four children namely Eddy, Dennis, Grace and Junior. I live with my family in Bombolulu estate which is a few minutes drive from Mombasa Town on your way to Kilifi/Malindi. My two sons, Eddy and Dennis are in college. My third born - Grace will be going to Form Three next year, while Junior is in nursery School.
My husband works in Kilifi with a Regional Development Agency and comes home over the weekends. He is very loving, caring and a hard worker. Grace would like to be a Journalist when she finishes school while Junior would like to be a Doctor.
Hi zidisha , i hope your doing fine, am really thankfull for your assistance, it did make a huge difference. God bless you all. This time around i realy want to expand my business and start buying charcoal for the purpose of selling in retail. Buying and selling of charcoal is a nice business and its profitable and it can sustain my day to day needs, and i would be selling in my neighborhood. Charcoal is in high demand due to the fact that alot of people around my place cannot afford advanced cooking methods like electric cookers or cooking gas. This charcoal that am intending to buy and sell, will cost 800 kshs per sack, and i can choose to sell in large scale or in small quantinties for home use, of which either way al make a profit of 500 kshs per sack. For example if i buy 1 sack and sell it whole, al sell it at 1300 kshs, which i will get 500 kshs of profit, so if i buy 10 sacks which will cost around 9000 kshs due to transportation and some other costs, after i sell all ten i can make around 4000 kshs , and that will take a period of 5 to 7 days. If you will assist me i will use the profits to help paying school fees for children and also continue expanding my business even further.
The loan will enable me buy more products - handbags at Kshs.1,800 per piece and then reselling them at Kshs.3,000 per piece, ladies materials, at Kshs.1,200 per piece and reselling the same at Kshs. 2,500. With the loan, I will also be able to buy assorted jewellery like earings from Kshs.200 and resell for Kshs.500 etc. for my beauty shop which at the moment is not fully stocked. I expect to make a profit of Kshs.10,000 per month.
By buying more goods, I will employ somebody to help me. I will be able to satisfy my customers needs as I will have a variety of beauty products. It will enable me to expand my business to other towns. I promise to repay my loan in good time. Thank you Zidisha for the great work you are doing.
