I was born in Nakuru and life was not easy growing in the sprawling slum.
After high school i started working for my aunt as a shop attendant. It was good counting money every day and i remember promising myself that i will work hard to start a business. But i did not know which business i will pursue. While at the shop i adopted some orphans from a close relative who had died and while at it i developed a liking for kids apart from mine.
That is how Joy Centre came about. My future is to see my Centre grow and equipped to take care of vulnerable kids, to put a smile on their faces. It is changing lives that is inspiring me
I own and operate a small day a care and now developing into a kindergarten. I derive alot of joy from this centre that is why i named it Joy. Currently i have 14 day care children who my centre baby sits and 20 pre-unit kids. I started this centre when i started taking care of three orphans. I realized my love for kids and opted to start baby sitting and then a school. I get a lot of satisfaction from these kids and give me new energy every day. My biggest challenge is lack of a reliable financial partner to give me affordable loans to expand and make this centre a better place like home.
I will use this loan to buy beddings for baby care kids, playing toys and facilities for the kids. This will attract more parents to bring their kids to the centre and hence will increase revenue generated by the school. I will save proceeds from this centre , repay the loan and for future expansion.
