About Me

I am a Kenyan citizen aged 35 years and a father of 3 children. I hold Bachelors of Science in Natural Resources Management from Egerton University and Currently a Master’s Student of Natural Resources Management (Wildlife Option) Awaiting graduation from Egerton University. I have an outstanding background and experience of over five years in Natural Resources Management, Environment Conservation and Research.
My passion for working in the field of Natural Resources, Environment Conservation, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, , has led me to take on interesting but challenging positions in both public and private realm, and as a result, I have over the years developed a wealth of experience. Whilst I was working as a Naturalist with Serena Hotels, I developed interest in photography. I started with taking wildlife photography which I used to make good slides and presenting to both tourists and students. I went a mile further by going to children orphanage home to impart knowledge about conservation. I am currently pursuing my Masters studies and I also do Academic writing consultancy and photography work.

My Business

My business is Photography. I chose this business because of passion I had. Whilst I was working as a Naturalist with Serena Hotels, I developed interest in photography. I started with taking wildlife photography which I used to make good slides and presenting to both tourists and students. Today, I do photography in a variety of fields for example, birthday parties, graduation ceremonies, weddings, institutions’ functions, and family & individual photos e.t.c.
Since I got my first loan from Zidisha and got some new lenses, I managed to widen my niche and my monthly revenuw grew from approximately Kshs 30,000 (USD 330) to approximately Kshs 45,000 (USD 500).
One memerable event I covered was on a birthday party for a 14 years old boy, who had eaten half of his birthday cake a night before the d-day. The parents were so disturbed and it was late...all in all the event was well and my photos were fantastic.
I use this revenue to pay school fees for my children and to support my household. I even revamped on visiting orphange home and showing the youg boys and girls some animal photo.

Loan Proposal

I use Nikon D68 when doing photography in a variety of fields for example, in birthday parties, graduation ceremonies, weddings, institutions’ functions, and family & individual photos e.t.c. Since I want to increase the quality of my photos to reach the top notch, I need this significant loan to purchase 58mm Multi-Coated 3 Piece Filter Kit (UV-CPL-FLD) lenses. (UV Protective Filter: Prevents loss of sharpness and contrast by filtering out UV rays and Haze. Protects Lens from scratches, scuffs and smudges ; CPL Circular Polarizer Filter: Uses Polaroids patented Polarizing techonolgy to give you total on location control of color saturation, make skies bluer, grass greener-even eliminate surface reflections from glass and water - all with picture perfect re; and FLD Fluorescent Filter: Eliminates that annoying greenish tinge which fluorescent lights add to photos. This will enable me take high quality photos thus increase my volume of work and subsequently without doubt increase my profits. The total price for these lenses is Kshs 3,500 (USD 41). This loan will for sure be of great positive impact to BEST PICs PHOTOGRAPHY and with that I am really hoping for a positive response. Thank you.
