About Me

My name is Eric Owusu Nyarko. I am 31 years old, a teacher by profession and comes from Ghana in the western part of Africa. I am the second born of four siblings in family whose main source of income is peasant farming. My mother had to work extremely hard in order to send me to school in order for me to obtain my diploma as a teacher. The responsibility is now mine to work even harder to help my siblings achieve their goals through education since I am the eldest son of my parents. I can make their dreams become a reality by earning extra income aside my teaching salary. Therefore I decided to start a pig farm to earn some extra money to help support my family.

My Business

My name is Eric Owusu Nyarko. I come from Ghana in the western part of Africa. I am into pig farming which a lucrative enterprise in my country if you enough capital to inject into the business. I rear pigs on large scale and sell them to buyers from big cities which are used in restaurants for various meals. The amount of a pig is determined by its weight. In order to increase the weight of the pigs, they have to be well fed with a balanced ration. This becomes one of the major headaches of every pig farmer because it is capital intensive as well as monthly deworming of the animals. But when all the needed care are strictly adhered to, the profit is sizable. I wish to make enough money to take care of my siblings in school and get married as well

Loan Proposal

I intend to purchase new and better breed of pigs to my farm to enhance breeding. These better breed of pigs will enhance reproduction leading to an increase in the number of animals on the farm, thereby increasing number of pigs sold in a day or month as a whole. Part of the money will go into buying rich feed for the pigs since their growth rate depends directly on the quality of feed they eat and routine vaccination
