About Me

My names are Willfridah Wesonga.I am a single mother of one son Tony. I went to Nanginia primary school and Nanginia secondary school. I dropped out of school at form four (my final year) due to lack of school fees. My former teacher lured me to have sex with him in the promise that he will pay my exams fees only to run away from me after realizing I was pregnant. I contemplated taking away my life but I knew I would kill an innocent kid with me. my parents gave me the moral support and encouraged me but they could not support me financially.
I gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, life was tough and the father walked freely seducing other young girls.i reported the matter to police and the guy was arrested.however because damage was already done,we agreed that he would support me every moth with $50.my life improved but he died in grisly road accident six months later. I really had strong desire for education and was determined to get back to school one day. I joined my aunt in Nairobi and learned dress making at her shop. i worked hard and being a quick learner ,I mustered the art very fast. I worked with my aunt for one year and saved $500. I moved out and opened my own dressmaking shop. The business picked up well,I have been able to go back to school and I am now doing my degree in interior design .
My young Tony wants to be a pilot when he grows up.he seems to be so much in love with aircraft. i buy him toys and encourage him to work hard.
I am a choir leader in my church,i love singing and dancing. I am also a social worker and actively participate in social events like cleaning the town, visiting the sick and street boys.

My Business

I am a cloth designer and maker. I studied cloth making at my aunts shop.I doAfrican designs as well as western design depending on clients preference.
Desire for design cloths is high in Kenya. I get orders from weddings ,churches and schools. Business is good.
I choose the business because my aunt had trained me for free and I had mastered the art so fast and perfectly.
i spend $80 to pay rent and electricity every month my revenues ranges from $200-$300 a month.I make an average $150 a month.
I use my revenues to pay fees for myself and my son. I also support my parents and siblings,I save some money to buy equipments for my venture.

Loan Proposal

Hello
I am requesting for $100 loan to help me buy a bicycle that i would use to go to work. I $45 a month on transport and it raises the cost of doing business ,with a bicycle fare to and from work will not be requirement any more plus it will increase my efficiency enabling me to serve my clients even better. Thank you
