About Me

i am Chepketer Ednah, now a mother of one. I schooled at Chelilis Primary school in Kinangop and later joined Nyahururu Girl High school. I dropped out of school in form three because of financial challenges. This was greatly attributed by the fact that i lost my mother to cancer the same year. I was forced to drop out of school to look after my young ones. Life was so hard for me because i was still young and had to work extra hard to provide for my siblings. I used to wash clothes for people and work as a maid in order to put ends meat into our table. During that time when i was working as a maid, i got engaged to a man now my late husband and he got married to me. He was a soldier working for the Kenyan government.
Life was so good for us because he use to provide for us that is my kids and the two siblings that my mother left behind. i therefore stopped working as a maid and had to take care of the young ones at home. We lived happily for two years not until death snatched my husband again from us. He passed on in the line of duty in Somalia two months ago. I have now been left behind with the burden of looking after the my kid and also my siblings. He left behind some cash that i used to venture into a business, I oped a grocery in town where i sell all grocery products. this is now my business that i use to educate my siblings and also provide for them their daily needs.

My Business

I offer grocery services, this include selling of grocery items like onions, tomatoes, kales, cabbages, bananas, mangoes among others.
This goods are useful because they help spice up our foods and also they are rich in nutrients that people need to build there bodies.
i chose this business because it was the only business that i could engage in using the little money that was left behind by my late husband. I thought venturing into this business as the only way out to my troubles and also as now the only option that i had to provide for my family.
i use the profits that i make from the business, to do the following, grow my business by acquiring new items and equipments that i don't have presently, pay school fee for my two siblings and also provide food for them.

Loan Proposal

i will use the loan to buy a 5 litter blending machine. The blender goes for 35 Us dollars, with a loan of 5 Us dollars, i will therefore add 30 Us dollars and make this purchase.
I will benefit from this because now that i sell different kinds of fruits, my customers can be taking blended juice from my grocer and enrich themselves with nutrients.\
I expect to make a profit increase by almost 40 Us dollars per day
