About Me

My Story.
My name is Salome Adhiambo, I was born in Kisumu City 32 years ago where I grew up and did most part of my lower education there. I am married and I live in Umoja Estate with my husband and our daughter of three years. I am presently working as a Dental clinic in Nairobi West. I mainly do secretarial duties but currently I combine with bookkeeping for the Clinic because I am taking my CPA classes, actually CPA II now. I went to Kisumu Girls High School, I did my O level there then I managed to attain a mean grade of C plain. According to the Kenyan System of education, I didn’t attain a grade to be admitted into any public university for a regular course. I didn’t want my studies to end after form four so that is the main reason as to why I decided to pursue a course that was affordable to me and can be done over a period of time. During my free time I always like staying with my family and as a mother, I try to stay with our daughter who to say the least is my main source of inspiration. I also like reading journals and lifestyle magazines as well as browsing the internet a lot. I sincerely thank God for everything that he has bestowed upon me.

My Business

My Loan Proposal.
Without education and good skills, there is definitely no future for any individual. My loan request is basically to enable to complete my studies and to be a recognized senior Certified Public Accountant. Two years ago ie 2012, my husband asked me to choose a course of interest to me- After a long discussion on the available options,we settled that I pursue Accounts because of my high school grades, he advised me to first register with KASNEB ,( the umbrella body that registers and examines all future accountants in Kenya) he funded me to enrol to take classes in ATC I which I studied privately and passed after six months. He was so encouraged and I was driven to take Level II by December 2013. I passed both leves 1 and 2 very well and I was exempted to skip CPA section 1 and do Section II. But unfortunately, he lost his job and life was a struggle most part of 2013. I stopped studies but God blessed me with a job at a dental clinic. It’s for sure not a well paying job but its better than nothing. I went back to enroll for the CPA at Summit College in the city center where I go for my classes every evening after work.
My main problem is paying for my school fees at Summit College and I have a fee balance of about USD 250 which I must clear before I am allowed back in class as the sessions are ongoing and the exam are due in early June. This is the main reason why I intend to request for a loan from Zidisha. I plan to repay the loan from my salary because I am guaranteed payment at the end of every month .I hope it will go through to enable me finish my studies. Please kindly consider lending me this loan because I trust my educational dream is valid.

Project Proposal

I would like to request for the funds to boost my salon business. This fund will help in restocking the salon products. These products will help in increase of clients and also be able to provide salon ervices without worrying for the products required for use. The salon has been a major source of income to me,therefore its funding will create increase in clientele base. With increase of clients there will be increase of earnings. This funds will also help help in restocking some beauty products. The products will also create increase in earnings. I will highly appreciate if given the funds to improve my business and also help create job opportunities for the young people around. The young people ought to motivated through such initiatives. I will highly appreciate if provided with the fu ds. Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone who supported me with funds to be able to improve my business. May you never lack. I received the funds this evening. Being a weekend I will do the restocking on Monday. I believe this will uplift my business and support other young people who are offering their services in the salon. May you all be blessed.

I hereby send my sincere gratitude for everyone who has funded my project. May you be richly blessed. May your baskets never run dry.
The finances will help me restock various beauty products in the salon. Therefore, this will increase my clientele base due to availability of products to offer my services. I will also be able to buy an extra blow drier so that we are able to serve more than on client at a time. Once our services are improved I believe I will get more referrals from our current clients. At the end of the day more opportunities will be created for hairdressers to be able to offer services at our salon. Thank you once again for your support.

I am taking leave off duty because I have a very important seminar to attend out of the city. Because of the trip, I might need to spend more money for personal use, thereby my request to adjust to this new low installment.

I take this opportunity to thank The Zidisha community for funding me to the next level of my education. I went back to college last month for my Certified Public Account Section 3 Part I having passed my previous section . This is the main reason why I am asking for this second loan from Zidisha. If am successful , then it shall definitely achieve a step towards my dream of being a registered Accountant.
