Born in afamily of seven & being first child.Gone through primary, secondary, collage with very hard challengs on my parents paying fees on time & sometimes lacking food.By joing Nationsl youth service i managed acollege certificate in Agricuture. In year2010 i started baking bricks with only ksh200 baking soil was available.Land is private owned & families live in peace with each other. Iam blassed with 4 girls & 2 boys.They prefare to be teacher,nurse,engineers,businnes,pilot & tour guide.One in unversity, three in secondary,two in primary. Afther watching football, i take time conserving soil erosion.
Bricks baking requirs baking timber maked 4*6*9 inch.The soil is available,labour is charged at ksh 2 per ready to market brick. Cost per market brick is ksh 10,labour ksh2 expected profit ksh 8. Market available in Bungoma town & locally. My other sourse of income comes from agricultural food crops.
1. BRICKS:. Bricks are made by baking Clay soil. Baked in wooden timber block measuring 4*6*9 inches. When backed are dried up for four weeks and then burned using firewood. 2 USE OF BRICKS: They are used for the construction of house. 3. MARKETING. Ready market is locally available in schools, colleges, locals for building houses. 4. COST. The cost of one brick locally is Ksh 10.00. 5. COST OF BACKING. Labour used requirements are Backing block wooden boxes cost Ksh 400. Shade Ksh 1,500 Three boys to backing 4,000 bricks is Ksh 8,000. Total expenditure will be Ksh 9,900. 6. PROFIT EXPECT. When 4000 bricks are sold each at Ksh 10 the total amount would be KSH 40,000 less ksh 9900 and firewood ksh 8,000. Profit expected would be KSH (40,000-17,900). Which is Ksh 21,000.
