About Me

My Name is Agnes Wambui, being the first born in a family of 2. Due to parental conflicts and financial contraints, i was not able to attend secondary school after completion of my primary school. I worked as a housegirl after completing the primary school in order to get money to educate myself in a hairdressing course. After completion of the course i was employed and through that employment small savings i was able to open my small salon.

My Business

Currently I am dealing with broiler chickens. Th reason why i choose the business is because it takes only 4 weeks to generate the profit. the cost of rearing 100 chicken is distributed as follows;
Buying of 1 Day Chick =100x90 (9000), 1 bag 50kgs Broiler crumbs @4400, 3 Bags 50ks Broiler Finisher Pallets@4000 =12000, 2 times Vaccines @ 350 =700 1 Bag charcoal 1200. The total cost of rearing this chickens amounts to Kshs. 26,000. The chicken is sold at an average cost of Kshs 400 per chicken which generates a Total income of Kshs. 40,000. This trasnslate to a profit margin of Ksh. 14,000. I use this profit to Educate my 3 children add more chicks in order to maximize my profit. Currently am only able to raise 200 chicks and if funded i would like to increase the chicks to 500 in order to maximize the profit

Project Proposal

When given this amount i intend to buy 50 chicks at a price of 5000 to add to my current stock. by the end of 4 weeks then i will sell the chicks whereby the 50 chicks will be bought at a price of 400 per chick hence generating an income of 20,000. when i subtract the cost i will have a profit margin of another 5000 in 4 weeks. Thanks
