About Me

My names are Jimmy Kuta ,married with one kid. moved to Mombasa city from the village after clearing my high school and my parents could not raise my university or college fees.
I ventured in small business to make ends meet. and also got involve in transport business tho as driver ,and poultry keeping -broilers.its through this business that i managed do accounting professional courses to section 3.

Over time,i have managed to maneuver in my small business through loans and groupings ,and that has motivated me to join zidisha to be part of the mechanisms that will see my vision of owning a business empire materialize.i therefore thank you Zidisha for approving my membership.

My Business

My poultry business is picking up well.I do keep 300 to 500 cheeks at interval of two weeks and they take 4 to 5 weeks to mature.I then sell them.

Being a business i do incur typical costs i.e from the 300 cheek reared and at maturity of 4 weeks when sold at 350 each i get total sales of 1050dollars.This attracts following costs 7 bags of both starter feeds for 22400,10 bags of finisher feeds for 30,000 transportation costs and vaccines 12,000 and local authorities fees 5000 total expenses is about 694 dollars thus making profit of about 356 dollars. So when stocked at intervals of two weeks the selling season is becomes daily and thus there's flow of cash which enables me repay loan installments.
I use the profits to for school fees of my 1 daughter and some also for my tuition. Fees since I study accounting and currently on section 2 of certified public accounts training.

Vision wise am looking forward to acquire bigger farm for my poultry business, and am optimistic that zidisha will be able of help to see my business grow and my homes academical ladder for up
