My name is Myonga Boniphace Mbungu. I was born in Iringa Region. I studied agricultural economics and natural resources at the University of Dar es Salaam. I am 30 years old, married and have one small child. When I was in the fifth grade at a day school that is a little far from home, I started raising broiler chickens in order to reduce the cost of school fees for my parents because my younger siblings who followed me behind also had the need and importance of going to school but on time. The family was not well financially. due to the challenge of employment in our country, after finishing college I also returned home and continued with chicken farming activities so that I could generate income for myself. Until now, I continue with chicken farming and currently I raise 400 chickens in one phase and I have a market to sell 80 chickens a day. what leads to failure to serve my market is capital.
I started a chicken breeding business in 2013 here in Iringa. Although I stopped for three years (2015-2018). But since 2019, I have returned to the broiler breeding business. The main goal of raising broilers is to create jobs for the community around me and generate income for myself, where at the moment I have hired one young man to help him work. Also, another goal is to ensure that the community around me gets white meat that doctors advise is good for health. I spend my whole day tending to my livestock. I would like to expand my business to be able to serve my market and to be able to increase employment for young people, if I get a loan of 300,000 I will be able to increase the amount of young people who will also personally be able to support or serve their families.
A loan of 300,000 will help me to increase the number of chickens. This will allow me and will be used to increase the number of working youth, so I will create employment opportunities for my community. It will also enable me to reach my market. The cost is as follows chicks = 100,000/= , sawdust = 15,000/= , electricity = 8000/= , water = 2000/= , food = 150,000/= , Medicines = 15,000/= , and transportation = 10,000/= . Thank you for your help.
