My name is Asaneth, I grew up on the out skirts of Eldoret town in an area called Langas where there is an informal settlement. Life was full of mixed blessings. We are 5 children in our family. Though life was a struggle, my parents managed to take me through schooling up to secondary school. Afterwards, i obtained a casual employment job where i have been able to take myself through a certificate course and is contemplating advancing to a degree course through the higher education loans board in Kenya which gives educational loans to needy students. My dream in future is to become a professional public relations consultant.
My business involves offering car wash services at the comfort of the owners home therefore avoiding the time spent queuing at the car wash place waiting for their turn. The service is more personalized and the vehicle owner gets the best quality service without interfering with their schedules when at home. I decided to start the business in order to raise money for my school work. My customers are mostly women and men who live in gated communities and are interested in knowing more about the person who is engaging them on a personal level. I am proud that more women are becoming supportive of my initiative. In a good day I make profits of between $ 190 - $ 220 which I save 50% for my school work and personal need sand the rest 50% goes in expanding the business by catering for detergents and water expenses
If I am granted this loan, I will add to my savings and buy another car wash machine (second hand) which costs about US$180 dollars, and a buffing machine costing about US$90 Dollars. These machines will expand my business by serving more clients thus increasing my profits and employing 1 more extra employees who will help me in the business. This may increase my profits to about US$300 per month.
