About Me

am currently pursuing a diploma course in one of the local colleges in Nakuru town, it’s a three year course. I reside in kaptembwo division which is in Nakuru County with my two brothers and my parents in a family plot. Landing a job soon after finishing high school education proved to be next to impossible, so after asking my parents and my friends on the next phase to take as I await for my college admission. I decided to start a small barber shop and the next thing was coming up with capital, luck was on my side as my parents foot all the expenses. It has been a year since then I have ventured into poultry farming due to a demand of white meat and eggs within our town and neighboring towns.

My Business

Other than running a barber shop I have also venture in the poultry farming which am doing it on a small scale level, I have also been contracted to supply kales to a neighboring private primary school and I source part of the kales from a small garden in our backyard and the rest from the market. My monthly gross income from the barber shop is 20000 Kenya shillings, I have employed someone to make sure that everything is running smoothly if and when am not around and he takes home roughly around KES 6500 the rest of my barber operating expenses include water, electricity & license bills tally to around KES 4000 which leaves me with around KES 11000. The poultry and the kales business brings home a gross income 23000, from which I deduct 6000 shilling which I use to pay my employee who helps with the distribution of the kales and eggs, he also helps in making sure that all the chickens are feed. My other expenses include water and electricity bills which amounts to 2000 Kshs. My average monthly income from my entire business tally to around 31000 Kshs, I reinvest 50% of my income.

Loan Proposal

With each new day the demand for eggs, white meat and kales keeps on increasing with the rise in population within our town and the neighboring towns. It’s due to these facts that I have decided to build a new poultry house and buy fertilizers to increase the production of the kales in my garden. Am planning to use this loan to build a new poultry house, I already have the woods so this will lower the cost of building a new house, I’ll have planned to use the 150 USD to buy 5 iron sheets , one roll of wire mesh, nails. The new iron sheet will cost me a total of USD 70, the nails and wire mesh will cost me 30 US dollars. The rest of the money I will use to cover rest of the cost such paying the carpenter. Etc.

    Hi lenders,
I called Nehemiah and noted that he forgot his zidisha password and is in the process of retrieving it.
He also didn`t know the pay bill to submit his weekly installment of which I sent him.
He therefore plan to make some payments anytime in the near future. He is likely to pay some amount immediately this week.
    Regards
    V.M

    Hi lenders,
Finally I have managed to reach Nehemiah after several but unsuccessful attempts and he`s doing fine.
He confirmed to me that he has been busy and was unable to communicate nor repay the weekly installments.
He has said that by Sunday he will pay some money towards installment.
Let`s hope that he will do so.
    Thanks. V.M
