I started off with over 500 chickens, was hoping for good sales....however like all other business, there was a challenge that i faced in the last two months. First the prices of feeds went up by 200 shillings (2 dollars) per bag.. our high season for sales of chicken is december however for some reasons the prices this december did not go up as expected, so I kept the chickens hoping for better price...lastly there was an outbreak of decease new castle in the area and I lost around 300 chickens....
Well despite all yesterday I made my first sales - sold 150 chicken at one go. I made 90 dollars from the sales. I have with me still 50 chicken yet to sale.
I will reinvest the 90 dollars into the next cycle and apply lessons learnt on the first cycle.
