I’m Paul Ndungu Waweru. I am 31 years old. I am a husband to Susan Wanjiru and we are blessed with three children.
I joined Sipili Primary School in 1991 in class one and did my final Primary Examinations (K.C.P.E) in the year 1998. I scored a mean score of 321 marks. In the year of 1999, I was selected to join Njambini Boys High School in form one until I performed my K.C.S.E in the year 2002, having a mean grade of C+.
Later I joined Muthithi Mass Media College in Eldoret, for the short course in Computer Studies. Two and a half years later, I graduated with a diploma in Secretarial and Computer Course. After the college life, I moved to Nanyuki to look for employment.
After being in employment for nearly six years in Nanyuki town, I had saved some small capital to start my own business. It is then I chose to change my profession and open a small mini supermarket here in Nanyuki, in a village called Gwa-Kungu. The business is licensed under the Nanyuki County regulations.
This was after I identified the needs of the locals and the neighboring community, who were walking a far distance almost 15 kilometers away to do their daily shopping. I emerged to relieve them after opening the mini-market and, on the first day, they came for their normal shopping in a large crowd, and while shopping they were telling me that God has spoken to me to open one within their community. I had managed to stock the mini supermarket with all their daily shopping tastes.
I have still been operating the business, although with some challenges. For the last few months, I have come across various financial challenges which drives me back each new day due to the high demand of the goods. Through the Zidisha platform, I am certain that challenges will be far behind my business.
Through the loan, I am planning to boost my business by buying goods in large quantities from the nearby distributor, who will sell to me in wholesale price. I am sure that I will be able to sell at a relatively lower price to my customers and gain more revenue in sales. It is my sincere prayer that the Zidisha team will consider my pledge and fund my business. Thanks a lot.
Thank you Zidisha and the entire lending fraternity once more for making me realize my dream. My shop has been a hive for my customers, who really depend on the fresh and quality goods I sell to them on a daily basis.
Of late, most of the customers have been requesting me to supply them with the essential commodities for their daily use in their homes.
This loan will benefit me and my entire community too in stocking bulky repacked sugar, maize flour, flour, fats, and sodas, among other essential commodities. The total amount of the said goods will cost an average of 147 USD. The loan will let my shop purchase the goods in town from the main distributor. This will let me lower my selling price, since the distributor will cater for the transportation of the goods in my shop at no extra cost.
Kindly to all my lenders, I invite you to participate in my loan funding. Thank you all in advance and may God bless you abundantly. Thank you.
