About Me

I am Julius Nyakundi, residing at Ngong road Ngando. I was born on year 1986 Mosocho division Kisii County. I am working with house of leather and gift store Nairobi as a salesman. I came to Nairobi on 2013 after completing my college studies where I was pursuing a diploma in business management. I first worked as a steward at shade hotel Karen as a cleaner.

My Business

Born in a family and being the last born,I started schooling on 1992 at Ititi primary school . On 2004 I did K.C.S.E exams and I attained a C+ which was not a good grade to join university . My mother was a peasant, she had one zero grazing cow and she grew vegetables .So immediately after high I had to help my mother with her activities more especially the zero grazing cow. A year after, with the help of my mother I leased a plot that would have helped me grow economically. I planted kales my mother purchased all necessary inputs. On my harvesting I produced 10 bags a week and one bag was selling at 100 shillings. So for three months I got 5000 shillings less the expenses . So I decided for something bigger ,where I started tomato production on the same piece of land. It was a bit challenging since I didn't have enough money. So for sticks for staking I had to collect from the bush since I did not have enough money to buy. With the help of my mother I got fertilisers and chemical for spraying. The tomatoes got attacked by blight and wilt which affected it's production. At the moment of harvesting I managed to get 60 baskets full of tomatoes and the sale price was 800 per basket.
With the help of my in law on 2008 I joined Gusii Institute of technology ,I got enrolled yo pursue a diploma in medical laboratory technology. Unfortunately the same year my in law passed on now my mother had to carry the burden. The burden became too heavy as I fought to get a scholarship which failed, I was forced to drop on my second year.
On 2009 I got contract with KNBS in the 2009 housing and population census. I worked as an enumerator where I got money to join mcom technology Kisii where I studied computer studies. But further the money helped me go back to farming again. I got a boost on 2010 when I got a job with iiec as a registration clerk and polling clerk in 2010 refendum.
On 2011 I opened up my mind when I opened a business dealing with second hand clothes at Ngong market. The business did not go well, so I was forced to find a job at Shade Hotel,Karen where I worked as a steward. On 2013 I resigned and I got another job at the Legend Karen.
This didn't go well as 2015 I got a job at House of leather and gift store.
At the House of leather I got money that enabled me start a cereal store which is managed by my wife. At least on day to day life, money that I spends on food and rent comes from the store and I save part of my salary.
My monthly salary has enabled me pay school fees for my child. This has grown my net worth to 300000.I have further extended and now I have an M-PESA agent my business has grown despite the challenges am going through.

Loan Proposal

I will buy more bags of cereals which will help me boost my monthly boost. A bag of rice can offer a profit of 300 shillings a month. As I dream to boost my net worth to 10000 dollars by the end of 2018. Out of the monthly salary will be able to repay back the loan very timely.

Hi Julius. Hope you are OK. Did you know you can adjust your repayment instalment to any amount you can comfortably pay? Better yet that you keep your credit score good and qualify a higher credit limit when you maintain an all time 90% repayment of your zidisha loans? In the light of this, please make necessary past due instalment payments/adjustment on your loan. Thanks
