About Me

Hello everyone,My name is Linda from Kenya,Meru county.I am a wife, mother of 4 daughters.I run a groceries shop here in Meru town.I am passionate about fresh food from Shamba,I love the aroma. My wish is my customers enjoy fresh food and live a healthy life. How it started;I used to visit my country side and I realized there is huge post harvest losses that farmers undergo vs here in town people were struggling to get fresh food.I realized I found the GAP and I need to FILL the GAP ASAP.That how I started my business.

I do help the farmers sell their produce with ease and avoid post harvest losses and the end users enjoy fresh food direct from the farms.

My vision in the next five years is to have a huge groceries store with processing and cooling machinery to add value to the produce and avoid losses we undergo due perishability of the produce.

Support farmers with buying farm inputs through contract farming, training them on good farming practices.

My Business

I run a groceries shop it is a wholesale and retail business,I do buy fresh farm produce from farmers and sell to other business and also to end users.

Project Proposal

1.Increase my working capital and stocks at least by 5%.This is to allow me cushion the expense and increase profitability.

2.Funds to fund my recent project of training and providing farm inputs to farmers at affordable prices,by partnering and collaborating with agriculture professionals and agro dealers

Hello zidisha community,am sorry was not able to pay my loan on time due to unavoidable circumstances.

I lost huge chunk of my stock in the farms due to heavy rains pounding and the floods..the vehicle I used for transportation also had mechanical breakdown which costed me alot to repair, this had a huge impact on my finances...hence the reason for failing to pay on time ..

I am working around the clock for a short period turn around to get me back on track...

I thank those who supported me and I won't fail the lending hearts and great zidisha community.

First things first I will invest 90% of the funds on adding more inventory, increase the portfolio too.

Buy more cabbages at cost of KSHS 2000 and add potatoes @ 4000 on my stock too.The remaining figure will expended on transportation costs.

It will be two fold benefit,With added stocks and increased portfolio I will meet all customers requirements,on other hand business profitability will increase too .

My humble gratitude to the 3 persons who funded my project namely Mr Trywell Choma from Zambia,Andreas Wagner from Estonia and Moses Mufulira from Zambia.Thank for trusting my credibility.
