About Me

I am a lady doing business in Mombasa town Kenya. I was born in Kitui county and later re-located to Mombasa in search of greener pastures. I come from a family of eight and I am the 6th born in the family. I am a single mother of one school going girl who is aged 9. I am the bread winner of my small family. I do food vending in town and I have been in this business for seven years.

My Business

As indicated above, I am a food vendor where is sell ready food to a large crowd of business people who work in Mombasa town. I buy cooking materials from the market, prepare the food and package it and sell it on daily basis. I make about $180 a month after paying off my expenses which include rent, wages and license for the local government.

I would like to expand my business by selling cold drinks which are in high demand in Mombasa due to its hot and humid climate. For me to do this, I need to get a refrigerator and that is why I have approached zidisha to achieve my goal.

Loan Proposal

I do my food business in Mombasa which is a coastal town in Kenya. The area is very hot and humid and I have always wished to expand my business by selling cold drinks which are always in high demand. However, for me to do this, I need a refrigerator but I'am always short of cash.
I appeal to zidisha community to help me with a loan of $150 which will be enough to buy a small refrigerator for this purpose. I am capable of re-paying this loan since I get some income on daily basis and this is likely to go up when I venture into the cold drink business.
