A farmer a mother and business woman.
I take dairy keeping as a business to earn a living. I tried crop farming faced challenges with finding the market and low price.
My mother introduced me to dairy farming.
I seeked knowledge from neighbour farms and with one heifer i was ready to satisfy my passion.
Milk is on demand all over. In hotels home use for children to drink its nutritious and sweet.
Dairy keeping for milk production is common in my area. I plant fodder on leased land and buy dairy meals, minerals and molases.
I also do prepare silage to sustain during dry seasons.
My cow is a local breed freshian produces 10 liters of milk a day.
I sell a litre at 50 kes.
I plan to buy pedigree cow which produces 30 litres a day.
