My name is Virginia Musyoki, born in Machakos county near Nairobi city. I was brought up in a typical rural home in a family of 3 and I am the second born. My parent are small scale farmers and this is what they do for their upkeep.
I went to primary and later secondary school around my home area and later joined a computer college where I did a course in computer graphics and design. I later relocated to Mombasa where I got a job as a computer operator. I later opened a small computer bureau with savings that I had made from my previous job.
I am a hardworking person and a go getter and I believe in honest living. I am an active member of my church where I belong to various groups within the church.
As stated above, I own a computer bureau where I do a number of computer related work such as typesetting, printing, documents lamination and binding. My business is located in Mombasa city in an area that is densely populated and this is a big advantage since I am always assured of a large group of clients who come to seek my services.
However, I face a number challenges key among them lack of credit to expand the business. In spite of these challenges, I the prospects of my business looks bright and I since I have already established a good number of loyal clients in the last five years that I have been in this business.
My average net income per month is about $200 and I am hoping that this figure will go up if I get a credit line from Zidisha.
One secret of success in cyber cafe business is to have a good and a reliable printer. I need to invest heavily in this area so that I can have a competitive edge over my competition. The printer that I am currently using (that I bought with the first loan) is doing a good job but it has some limitations.
I need a faster printer to take care of clients who cannot wait for long for their work to be printed. I also need to get a printer that can print of paper plates for offset printing which is the most common type of printing done around here. A laser printer will solve all these challenges. Unfortunately, these printers don't come cheap and that is why I am asking for your help. A new laser printer of the type that I want will cost me about $200, so with this loan a bit from my savings I will be able to acquire it.
This will be a game changer in my business and I am counting on you to make it happen. Thank you.
