My name is Kipngetich I was born and raised in Kachien location a very remote village without a health facility and my mother worked very hard to raise us. My father passed on when I was in form one and my mother used to work for others to raise my fee. During holidays we used to dig for people. When i was told that I will be going to Nairobi i made charcoal for my fare. I now stay in Kibera and my dreams for the future are that my business will improve and income will go up and that this will improve my family's standards of living.
My business mainly involves welding and fabrication and I started this business more than 3 years ago. I started this business so that I could be able to earn more income to enable me improve my standards of living. My biggest challenge is lack of enough tools for my business. My future dreams is that my business will be the best performing company in East Africa and the best training center in Nairobi. In amonth i make net profits of upto $ 200 which i use to buy more materials for my business and the rest cater for my family needs. I have great vision of expanding my business more.
Together with my savings, I will use the loan to buy a grinding machine because I have been using a hired one. This will make the welding and fabrication process easier and therefore will increase my orders and profits too. This will help expand my business and my income will increase hence improving my family's standards of living.
