About Me

My names is Chritine Nduta kariuki. My id number is 28302007. I have three brothers and a sister. Am the second born of my parents. Due to poverty I never managed to go to school because I was helping my parents on our small farm back in othaya. My rural home is located 6 kilometers from the othaya constituency in nyeri town. I am struggling with the upkeep of my parents and siblings due to unemployment. Thus I decided to set up a shop that sells hand shoes and clothes for both ladies and gents. so far the returns have been great only that there is a greater demand for my products(clothes and shoes) than i can supply due to a high demand.

My Business

I sell second hand shoes and clothes for both ladies and gents. I have been working involved in that business for close to 3 years. I have been going to Uganda to get them as they are cheaper there but currently I have been supporting my poor family to attain its basic needs thus I have been financially broken . So I decided to fasten together some acquaintances in the market to help them sell their own and after we closed then they give me a percentage of my products to sell. On average I make 25,000/= Kenyan shillings per month and pay shop rent of 2,000/= and other bills for 4,000/= Kenyan shillings per month. I am requesting zidisha to help me to expand my business and when I get the money it will help me to buy more second hand shoes and clothes and rent a bigger shop.
