My names are Mauline Kahi. I am 24 years old I am from a family of 8. I went to schools up to std 8. I could not continue because of lacking school fees. I am the fifth born in our family. Our parents are just peasant farmers struggling to put food on the table as all the rest of my brothers and sisters are still jobless. I currently stay in Nairobi with my husband after I decided to get married. I decided to start clothe selling business to support my hubby in payment of bills as he is just but only working as a security guard with a private firm. We have with him one kid and looking forward save for our child's education and well being. Well that is about me I can say. Thank you.
My busines is that for selling second hand clothes. I buy clothes from Gigomba and sell them at my residential place. I have been doing this business for like five months now. I am so advantaged for now as I am strategically placed since am the only clothe sellr at my point of sale. For the short time I have been in this business I relaized that the business is very well paying in terms of profit. I buy one bale of second hand clothes at Ksh 10,000 and I sell them at 15000 to 16500 after like one and ahalf week. I use most of my earnings to help my hubby pay for bills. I also use this money to support my parents back home to pay for school fees of my two younger brothers who are still in school.
If given the amount I plan to go buy extra clothes for my business, especially now that the schools are opening I will go get new school uniforms for sale. I know I can buy a uniform at 400 and sell at 600 which means with good sell this January I should be able to make some good profit out of it. I will also try and come with more second hand clothes, since I was buying pieces now I will afford to buy a whole bundle. Kindly help me to better my life. Thank you
