I was in Nakuru County, am not yet married, I attend Presbyterian Church of East Africa located at subuku Centre just near my business. Am born in a family of three. I have attended primary school, secondary and also University, I graduated two and half years ago and got a job with Teachers Service Commission. For the last two years I have been selling cereals and I also operate a posho meal. My business is located subuku centre. I decided to establish a business because I always have a desire to be businessman and also to increase my income level. From my business returns I have been able acquire a good number of assets including a piece of land.
For the last two years I have been selling cereals and I also operate a posho meal. My business is located subuku centre, outskirts of Nakuru town approximately twenty kilometers. Am also a small scale farmer, I plant maize and beans and sometimes wheat but depending on the current weather. I used my farm produce to start my business since I didn’t have enough capital. I have been buying cereals such as maize, beans, cow peas, green grams commonly known as ‘dengu’, wheat, and many others. Last year I decided to establish a posho meal due to the growing demand of maize flour in the area. Nakuru county current enjoys a huge population since 2007 due to the post-election violence. I enjoy competitive edge due to my friendly price I offer to my customers, high quality goods. Am able to make a bigger margin of profits because I sell maize and wheat to them and grind it my posho meal. In a month I incur approximately kes 140,000, sales level of kes 230,000 and profit margin of kes 80,000
Thank you so much for allowing me to access cheaper and friendly loan. I will use my first loan as an additional capital to buy more cereals especially the fast moving commodities that are consumed as a staple food in our country. I will buy beans, cow peas, groundnuts which are been harvested now I some various parts of the country. Also I will buy more rice which has also a high demand
