About Me

My name is Nelson Kaita Boso. I was born in Coastal region of Kenya 42 years ago in a family of 6 – 2 parents and 1 brother and 2 sisters. My parents are small scale farmers mainly dealing food crops and livestock keeping.
I went to school in the same area and after clearing my secondary education, I enrolled in a commercial college where I trained as a business executive. I got a job in Mombasa town after completion of my college education where I worked for five years as a supervisor in an oil company.
I am married to one wife and I have three children aged 11 years, 7 years and 3 years. I am a hardworking and an honest person.

My Business

I run two businesses in Mombasa town. One is a construction company which I started four years ago and I also do supplies of general merchandise to cooperate and private clients (food and non-food items).
I run my operations from my office located in Mombasa Town where I have employed 2 workers. I occasionally hire casuals when there is a lot of work to be done.
For the construction business, the demand for my services is average but I get a fair share of the market. This business gives me a net profit of about $550. The supply business gives me a net profit of $230 thus both ventures give me a total of about $780 per month.
I intend to use this loan to strengthen my supplies department of my business because sometimes I run out of cash when I get big orders. I am hoping to progress upwards with Zidisha loans so that I will eventually be able to complete with other big players in this sector.

Loan Proposal

I am currently doing renovation work after being contracted by the owner a few weeks ago. This required a lot of capital and I have ran out cash to do the final touches such as paintwork.

I have come back to Zidisha asking for your assistance once more to enable me purchase 20 gallons of paint that is needed to finish the paintwork. I normally get paid after finishing the job and this is normally done in within two months.

1 gallon of paint cost about USD7 and this loan will be enough to enable me purchase the required amount. Thank you and I am looking forward to your funding once more.
