About Me

I am a graduate with a degree in Biochemistry ,i live in Karatina doing horticulture and poultry framing as my core business. My aim is to increase my business volume and employee as many local as possible. There is always ready market for my produce and in fact i cannot satisfy it. With the zidisha loans I will be able to expand the horticulture produce and add more broiler chickens. This will also improve my returns and give my business more muscles as I climb higher.

My Business

My business is farming I engage in horticulture specifically tomatoes, cabbages, among many others. I also have broilers chickens and local chickens which I want to increase systematically to for both. Currently I have two farm workers and would like to add two more after increasing my production. I would therefore need a loan that could trigger the growth am anticipating. This venture will not only help me but the school leavers who end up idling due to joblessness. All my produce are sold in the local market. I make an average of KSH 30,000 as profit from farming every month. A loan of $1000 would help me to add more chickens and increase my input for the farm produce. The market is wide but my ability is limited by lack of sufficient capital to expand as I have to wait for some time. I have sufficient water supply but local wild life always pose a threat to my produce as they sometimes invade and destroy some of the vegetables.

Loan Proposal

I have been dealing with broiler chickens which take 6 weeks to mature. I currently have 245 chickens which are completing 4th week and two weeks remaining before I take them to the market. The loan will help me to buy two bags of the poultry feeds called broiler finisher which is usually the last meal given to ensure they reach the 2.0kg or 1.5kg required in the market per chicken. Lending is essential at this point since i have exhausted most of the capital during the last 4 weeks. My aim is to be able to add more poultry progressively as some amount is required for me to book 300 chicks for the next batch from the hatchery to ensure when these ones are taken up in the market i have others ready.I will be glad if you help me make this dreams and visions a reality.
