About Me

I grew up in the slums of Kaptembwo, on the outskirts of Nakuru. Life in this area was very difficult because my family was not very well off, and we were a family of eleven children. I was the fifth born in my family, so it was difficult for my parents to make enough money to send my siblings and me to school. It was also very hard to save enough money to buy food and clothing for our family.

It was because of this that I was motivated to become a teacher. My mum was the one that inspired me to open the school and teach young children. My dream is to be able to provide a quality education to as many children as possible.

Today, I am still living in Kaptembwo, where my school is located. I will continue to work on improving conditions so that more children will be able to get an education.

And my dreams are to have a bright future, opportunities for my family, and a role in eradicating poverty in the community of Kaptembwo. I nurture my children in their spirituality and empower the girls in my community, and it is my hope that I am improving my society.

My Business

Gateway Nursery School is a private school that provides education to children ages three to six years old. i started the business more than 3 years ago after doing my research and realized the kind of education given to the children in that stages was not good enough.
My goal is to expand the school to other grades.Through my business I have managed to privide the kids with a good foundation and also take care of my family.
The goal is to continue to make quality education available to as many children as possible and to make this school self sustainable with the required teaching facilities.
I'm proud when pupils pass exams and proceed to high schools and also the commitment of my teachers.
My typical costs range from $100 - $ 150 per month and i make profits of between $180 and $200 in a good month

Loan Proposal

This loan will go along way in purchasing tables and chairs for the nursery school children wich will cost me around $ 180. With a good learning environment and comfortable class i expect the children to enjoy learning. The children will not become untidy and dirty as they will no longer seat down on the floor.
The tidiness will make the parents happy since it has been concern to them. If they are happy they will be willing to pay comfortably their monthly fees hence improved cash inflow.
