About Me

My name is Hemstone Odera I was born in Rachuonyo Homa Bey county i where i grew up. Currently I live in Nairobi with my family. Growing up was a challenge due to lack of enough finances in the family. This motivated me to train as a teacher at makere university Uganda to help children lean and over come the challenges our families are having of living in poverty. My dream is the school grow to a center for excellence in education to a university level.
The school I am running is a results of my savings. when i was in still in college.

My Business

Im running a primary school which is from standard one to standard 8 as a social enterprise. I started this business due to my passion to work with children. I started the school 2010 at kinyago slums after finishing college at Makere university Uganda.The biggest challenge is when some parents fail to pay school fees for their children on time. This affects the school operations since i depend on the school fees to run the school. My customers are kinyago community My goal is to build a modern education for children.Working with children makes me proud and compliment my joy.
In a good term i make profits of upto $ 250 which i use to expand the school and help pay school fees for my child who is in secondary school.

Loan Proposal

Give the loan together with my savings i plan to add more school equipments such as desks, text books and also do renovations for teachers staffroom. I will buy books worth ksh 10,000, students desks worth ksh 10000 and renovations will cost me ksh 6000. Renovations will make the place conducive and attract more learners while the desks will also allow me to admit more students at the school. Additional text books are required to cater for the increase in students. All these will increase revenue and profits for the business and make it more stable. I also hope my standards of living will improve.
