About Me
My name is Kelvin Mutuku. I am a father of two children who are in school. I was born in eastern part of Kenya where I grew up. I went to school and later re-located to Mombasa city where I started doing business in photography.
My life as a child was quite tough because that area is a semi-arid area and we had to travel long distances to search for water and pasture for animals since my parents are pastrolists.
I am glad because I now live in an urban area and my children are living a much better life that the one I had.
My Business
I do photography both still pictures and video coverage. I normally do this for all social occasions such as weddings, birthday parties etc. I am normally contracted by people who need my services usually during the weekends. I use the weekdays to process and edit the work.
This business gives me a net income of about $200 per month and I hope I will be able to buy better equipment in future as this will enable me attract bigger clients who will give me big business in return. This is the main reason that I have joined Zidisha.
Loan Proposal
Just like the last loan, I will use this money to buy more equipment for my video work. I will buy a video lamp which I will be using indoor video shoots and at night. This will cost me around $50 and I will add the balance from money I get from my business operations.
