About Me

My name is emily waithera.I am a single mother of one,a son. I single handedly take care of my son . I am determined to give all for him to have a good life that he deserves.Hes what that keeps me moving.

I am the first born in a family of 8 siblings. I do not have formal employment since my education ended with my first year in campus when i got pregnant. Life for me has been a struggle and I live from hand to mouth. My fiancee, who was the sole bread winner for our family, was killed by robbers one day from work. After his death, my in laws drove me away from my home because I had not formalized the marriage through the customary law When am not at work am with my son helping him with the assingments.I love work coz its the only place i find peace.

I know that I have the strength to work and feed my son. I own a small business of baking donuts and cakes in the village and distributing them to shops and kiosks around my area. It is my desire that one day my business will grow and give me enough income to cater for my financial needs and educate my son. It is also my wish that I will be in a position to purchase a piece of land and build myself a home.

My Business

i own a bakery at my home area where i bake cakes and donuts which i sell to the local kiosks and shops.i started this business about three years ago when i realized around my area there was not even one baker.business has been good except that it has the challenges of transporting the cakes and donuts around the place. It makes me good profits which i use to pay my workers and pay my sons school fees. The locals love my donuts since they are unique and delicious.

Loan Proposal

Given the loan i will be able to buy a new bicycles that costs 8500KES and use the rest of the money to buy some new crates which will cost me 2000KES.The rest 2500KES am gonna use it to pay for my worker who will be supplying the donuts and cakes. With that bicycle we will be able to reach more customers into their kiosks and shops, that will increase our profit as we could not reach most of our customers due to lack of transport means.I will use the money i get to pay back my zidisha loan and pay my sons schoolfees.
