About Me

I am called Osborn Wechuli. I was born in the year 1982 in Kakamega County of Western Kenya Province in the republic of the great nation Kenya. I attended Sidoko Primary School between the years 1989 and 1997 and was in Secondary School between the years 1998 and 2002 at Chavakali Boys High School. After I realized that my parents could not afford to take me to the University because they lacked school fees, I started working for people as a boda boda operator for four years until I bought mine that am doing until today. I saved money for four years to begin my own business which has been so much helpful to me and my family. Here, you are expected to buy your own land after you have been taken to the high school level of education even if you don't have means.

I am now married and have three kids and all of them are boys. The first born is in class 4, the second born is in class 2, and the third born is still in the house. My older two children have already expressed the desire of becoming teachers but the last one has not not said anything because he is still too young to decide.
My unique hobby is to go riding and driving with my family in my free time and over the weekend with my friends.

My Business

I provide transport services to my customers. This service is very much in demand because people are in the town but some roads are impassable by cars and, therefore, people opt to use boda boda which is cheap and faster than any other means. I chose this kind of business because I have been a rider from my childhood and because it is not so expensive to acquire a motor bike.
My typical cost and revenue is 25,000.
This how I use my profit that I get from my business:
School fees for my children is 10,000
Reinvestment in growing the business is 1,000
Home improvement is 5,000
My old parents in the village is 3,000.

Loan Proposal

When I am given this loan amount I am applying for, I will be able to buy 1 fuel tank at 280 US Dollars. This will boost my business so that I make a lot of profit as I make many trips taking my customers to and fro. When this plan is put into practice, I expect this business to increase by 40% this year alone.
