I am Maria Nabwire a mother of three children and a beautician by profession.I schooled up to std 8 passed well and joined secondary school but was not able to complete as I dropped out in my third year due to financial problems.
I joined my aunt in Nairobi who owned a salon and she offered to train me.Once I had completed the training I relocated to the rural areas with my husband where I opened my first saloon by things did not work out as most rural women could not afford the services. I didn't give up,lucky my husband got a job in Nairobi and we moved back to the city, I took loan from my friend of $200 and pumped into the business,it picked up well and its now 8 year old and still expanding.
I come from the western kenya and the culture is diverse, we also have unique features including the crying stone of kakamega and the kakamega forest which is home to thousands of snakes.
My kids are in love with the beauty industry and since they are all girls ,they always say they want to be like mama, since I dont regret what i do,I encourage them to work hard so that they can achieve their dreams.
I am an outgoing and very social woman and I love people ,I spend most of my free time with friends in church.
I provide beauty services and products. I provide services like hair dressing, facial scrapping, manicure and pedicure as well as selling beauty products in my shop.
The demand is high because I provide quality services and products at an affordable costs.
I choose these business because it has an opportunity for growth and the high returns on investment.
my monthly typical costs are $200 and my monthly average revenue range from $400-600 per month.
I spend the profits on educating my children, taking care of my aging mama, and save for reinvestment and business maintenance.
Hello to lenders
I am pleased to request for my first loan to enable me complete my expansion plan through purchase of two shaving machines that I would use in barber services.I recently moved my salon to a big room to accommodate the barber shop. I would employ one person to serve the clients. The two machines would cost me $100 each. I would add $40 so that I can acquire them and start the job.I expect these new line of investment to increase my revenues by $200 per month ,apart from increased profits,it would provide employment .thank you.
