About Me

My Name is Elika Shitoko I was born in the year 1985 in Kakamega County in Western Province of the republic of Kenya in the family of six siblings.
Due to high cost of life to my parents who were jobless I did not manage to go high School after the completion of my primary level of of education that was back in the year 1994 in Lunyerere Primary School.

After I did My primary education then I got a casual job in Eldoret town as a shop Keeper ,Which I did for five years and after getting some capital then I started my own business of charcoal selling in Eldoret town and that is in langas estate which I have todate.
I started my own business after I saved small capital from the earning I got from shop keeping which I did for five years as a young girl.
I my my culture girls are taken to School when there are many children in the family but only boys are considered.

Am now married and with four children two girls and two boys and all of them are in high School.
All this children of mine wants to become Teachers and Doctors when they grow up.
My unique hobby is singing in my free time and swimming in large waters and in the ponds.

My Business

I sell Charcoal to my customers in this region of Langas Eldoret and this entire region,
These goods are so much useful and are in great demand because this what is commonly used in cooking and in warming the places or houses in general therefore it is in great demand.
I chose this kind of business because it is in great demand and also it is available or it is easily obtainable, they in plenty in our forest and reserves .
My typical cost is 40,000KES

This is how I use my profit that I get from this business of charcoal selling,
1.School fees for my children 20,000KES.
2.Reinvestment in growing the business 5,000KES.
3. Home improvements 10,000KES.
4Church activities 2,000
5.Helping my old parents in the rural village 2,000KES.
And I hope this will change in the recent time as we continue growing together with the business.

Loan Proposal

When am given this loan amount then I will able to buy 7 shacks of charcoal at $14 each which will total to $110.
This will make me seles to many people and thus be making more profit for myself and family and also to my employers to be paid on time and promptly.
This also will change my store for I will have the bulk of charcoal and I will seles to other retailers around this place and beyond,
My customers will like my store because of the ability to supply them with plenty.

When this plan is implemented then I expect this business to grow by 40% this recent time and not before long it will be more.
God bless zidisha.

Elisa paid her loan off perfectly, I would gladly lend to her again and encourage others to do the same.
