About Me

I am a Kenyan Citizen born in Nyeri County. I am the 6th born in a family of 7. My parents are subsistence farmers where i achieved my passion in farming. This is where i started my schooling up to the O levels. I later joined Aviation college in Nairobi where i took a diploma in Aviation Cargo Handling. After the completion of my diploma, it was hard to get a job and joined my parents back home where they were doing poultry farming. After 2 years at home, i got a job with Kenya Airways Cargo. The job did not last for long before we were retrenched. Luckily i had managed to purchase a small piece of land and together with the little savings i had, i decided to venture into the poultry business having had prior experience from my Parents. I enjoy doing this with the support of my wife and my 6 yrs old son who likes feeding the chicken and collecting eggs with me.

My Business

I am involved in Agri business and majoring in poultry business. I produce eggs having identified a market demand at our local area. I chose eggs production as most farmers are doing chicken meat production and this is why i chose to be unique. I supply the eggs to most of my surrounding customers while others come for them in the farm. I manage to cater for my bills and educate my 6yrs old son with the profits I achieve. The risks involved in this business is the loss that i encounter with the breakages while transporting the eggs. I hope these risks and losses will be minimal as the business grows.

Loan Proposal

Thank so much zidisha for giving me this opportunity to grow my business.the last loan i received from lenders really made my business grow.i currently have more than 300 chickens and intend to raise that no.to more than five hundred by the end of this year.I intend to spend the loan given to me by just buying 10 bags of chickens feeds.

Have never been in such a stressful moment. I didn't know of the loan due as someone picked up the loan with my account. Secondly when I purpose to settle it up n fail 2 or 3 instalments, I get some calls from friends I haven't communicated with for the longest that I am not paying my debts... It's just don't add up!!
