My names are Rodgers kirui i was born in the rift valley province to a family of popular farmers of maize crop and tomatoes.
My survival during childhood was good despite financial problems which faced our family, My parents struggled hard to see me and fellow brothers through school some of us did not manage to complete school but i was lucky to have completed my high school education and joined Egerton university of agriculture and technology.
After campus i secure employment with local companies fro a while after saving enough capital i joined my parents in farming back at home.
I had a passion for farming and always believed its better to be self employed than to be employed.
With the skills i gained from school i have managed to train several farmers in my community on how to use natural fertilizers, manure and natural plants that acts like pesticides to cut the expensive cost of farm inputs. leaving the better than they used to be.
My hobbies are traveling and watching.
I am a farmer who major in maize and tomatoes, recently i have started planting 'Managu', a vegetable that on high demand to local hotels and people.
On my fathers 3 acre piece of land we have divided into sections were we plant maize, vegetables and tomatoes aiming to sell to local farmers and food stores in town.
I chose to do farming when i released my fathers land is big enough to support me and my brothers, i love farming and i enjoy doing it.
With a rotation in harvesting we make profits of 320 us dollars a month and use to improve our life's education for siblings and family upkeep.
Thank you for the support,
This loan i find it very important to my projects, I have problems with manure for this reason i have found the need to buy two dairy cow at 43O US DOLLARS, This will produce milk and manure.
22 US DOLLARS will be for transportation.
Milk will be for sell and manure will be used in the farm.
I believe with this i will be able to reduce cost of manure and have good production.
