I grew up in the village set up and life was not easy during ,my childhood,I was the third born in a family of six children, and my parents were peasant farmers.I went to shidodo primary school fro primary education and did my KCPE and the joined ingotse high school for secondary education,I was not able to go college due to lack of fees.
I joined fadhili self help group where we were though on best farming practices.I took a loan of $200 from the group and started my business of keeping poultry.I was able to make my first sales after 4 months and used the proceeds to repay the loan and expand business. I am now venturing into horticulture farming so as to utilize the fertilizer I get from my farm.
I am a youth leader and spend my free time with youths who got interest in farming doing capacity building and helping them start there farms.
I am small scale mixed farmer and I keep both poultry and grow vegetables for sale. The two projects depend on one another as the vegetables provide food for poultry and poultry give the manure.these has reduced my costs of operation.
the demand for these goods high because of huge non-farming population.my monthly typical costs are $200 and my monthly revenues per moth are $500 per month.I use the money I get from my farm to pay school fees, home improvement and saving for reinvestment.
Hello lenders,Please advance me a loan of $100 dollars to enable me buy 6 wooden feeders for my poultry. each feeder would cost me $10 and will help me reduce food wastage since I give the birds feeds on plastic bowls at the moment.I have realised alot of feed is wasted and I can save a lot if I use the feeders and also reduce feed contamination.Thank you in advance.
