About Me

I am Eluas Itenyi Misango born and raised in the western part of Kenya, Kakamega County. I was born in a family of ten children, six girls and four boys, two have already dead. I spent my childhood in western Kenya and that is where I did my schooling. I am married and have five children, two boys and three girls. The first born is in College, the other two girls and one boy are in high school. The last born is still in primary School.

My childhood had a lot of challenges from home to schooling. We used to work hard after school and during holidays in order to help our parents in the farm. At times it was hard to be in school all the time because at times we never had school fees.

I came to Nakuru county in the year 1990, since then I have lived here. I am currently employed at a Bible school. We live in a cosmopolitan therefore have diverse in culture and the way people do things

My Business

Having some experience in the dairy farming and from the proceeds that are coming from my one cow, i see it is wise to add another one. The cow that I have has been doing very well and I want to grow bit by bit. Having gotten money from Zidisha and managed to buy bulky feeds it has enabled me to be able to lower my cost of production from Kshs. 300/- per day to Kshs. 250/- per day.
I have made a savings of Kshs. 20,000/- from the milk sales and from my employment in order to buy another cow which will cost Kshs. 40,000/-. Therefore I am looking forward to obtaining a loan of Kshs. 20,000/-.
I know with good management and better practices, I will improve the production hence my daily income.

Loan Proposal

The only biggest challenge in dairy keeping is finding enough money to stock feed for the dry season. Am planning to use this money to stock hay because we are approaching dry periods where it is hard to get grass. With good management and proper feeding, production can improve hence improving the income.

I am very thankful to my lender for the quick response towards my loan. I am planning to buy a freezer for milk storage at a cost of approximately 270usd. This will really boost my storage capacity hence increased profits.

As planned I bought hay for my cattle in bulk and it was very beneficial. When I was taking the loan, it was at the time of harvest and I managed to buy hay at a cheaper price which helped me when the prices went up. I thank Zidisha and the lenders for that assistance that came on time.
