About Me

My name is Robert Njenga. i come from family of five. I am born into this family of two sisters and two brothers. I went to kenyatta primary school and later Nakuru High school whereI obtained a mean grade of c+. I later joined a college to study Marketing and Sale. I did not find a job after college and I decided to start a business of selling Shoes which I was introduced by my uncle. Currently I own a small shop for selling Shoes.
It was when I did not have any job after college and I did not have any money to support myself and purchase important things to myself. I decided to assist my uncle selling shoes, this was a life changing moment. He used to get a lot of profits and could give good money at the end of the day. This is how I came to start my own shoe shop after helping my uncle.
My culture is interesting. We eat MUKIMO a mixture of beans, vegetables, maize and potatoes. Almost five types of foods put together, very interesting.
I want my children to be independent when they grow up. I will empower them with businesses. I dont want them suffer in poverty.
I do read a lot of business books to help me improve my business and adapt the business world.

My Business

My core business is Clothing Sales and I'm also now an owner of a general shop. I have been selling shoes. I sell rubber and sports shoes. These type of shoes are in high demand for people now especially in Kenya where we experience heat. Sport shoes are preferable in the hot season. School going students by sports shoes for their Sport Games. Women like rubber shoes than leather shoes.
The cost of rubber shoes and sports shoes varies. First of all, rubber shoes sells at an average of 5$ to 10$ whereas Sport shoes ranges from 8$ and 15$.
I do sell at an average 15 pairs of rubber shoes in a day and 25 pairs of Sport shoes per day. Approximate per day my profits goes to 40$. This is not bad but I can do better with bigger capital while selling different variety of shoes.

Thanks to your help lenders I've been able to use the profits I've gained over time and started a general shop and an mpesa.this diversity has come with its challenges but I am grateful, for by joining the profits from shoes and from the shop I was able to become an mpesa agent.
In my shop I sell household items as sugar tea flour tissue paper and such small things used daily in a house. My mpesa does not have a big float(capital)for I to do many transactions. From the shop i can make 48$-62$in a good month as the net profit.this is good compared to shoes which get easily affected by politics, market moods of investors etc.My mpesa line has a float of 180$ and this limits me how many transactions I can make.in a good month it gives me68$
I intend to use the loan in increasing my mpesa capital (float)to double,add180$ and have a variety of pastries such as cakes mandazis and at same time increase my stock of sugar flour salt barsoaps.in doing this I will be able to increase my profits and be a reliable general shop where customers know they won't miss what they want
I use my profits to cater for daily foods and transport. I pay rent and also furnish my house with furniture and utensils.

Loan Proposal

I want to venture fully in stocking leather products such as office shoes especially for ladies and handbags.i will buy the leather shoes at 6 $ and sell them at 13 $ as my target market is the corporate employees.the shop will cost 50 $ rent a month it is along the main road making me very visible to my clients as they pass by. have tried them and see them do very well.with this loan iwill have enough capital to start.Thank you zidisha in advance, GOd bless you
