I am George Appiah, I am 30 years of age, dark in complexion and moderately built. I come from Kato in Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. I had both my primary and Secondary School education right in Berekum, I am now self employed. I operate my own tailoring shop after having undergone four years apprenticeship. I am married with a boy child. My hobbies are playing and watching football.
I started my Tailoring shop in the year 2007 after having undergone a four-years apprenticeship at “God is Love Tailoring Shop”. I started operating my own shop with the name “Master George Tailoring shop” with a base capital of 500 dollars but by God’s grace, it now values over 3000 dollars.
My shop stands different and outstanding as compare to other tailoring shop around simply because of the quality and beautiful dresses I sew to my customers. I am now working with apprentices who are under training to become tailors. I am now having problem with my sewing machines. I have 5 of the machine but only 2 of them is working properly, I therefore plead with Zidisha to come to my aid to help me buy new and modern sewing machine to help facilitate my work.
Repayment
I will be able to repay the loan given to me from the daily income I earn from the daily cloths sewing. I am earning not less than $400 a week. Thank you.
When given this loan I intend to use it to buy new and modern sewing machine. This is the major problem I am facing for now since many people have the interest to come and learn but here is the case the sewing machines are few and old. I will be happy if Zidisha will assist me to purchase new machines to train more people to acquire this skill. I hope you know that we cannot do away with tailors in our daily life. Thank you
