About Me

My name is Philippe Opiyo Sadjah, born on the 21st of April 1980 in Nyeri County, Kenya. I am born to Mary Mukami Sadjah and Georgiehs Owuor Sadjah. Married to Ruth Wanjiru Kamau and a father of two. I am currently working for War On Campaign Kenya as their Regional Manager for Lower Eastern/Ukambani Region of Kenya, working on community empowerment, HIV/AIDS prevention, Care giving. I currently reside in Machakos Town, Machakos County, Kenya. My hobbies are sightseeing, traveling, making friends, reading in general, and politics. I have studied up to college level on Project Management and Community development, Sales and marketing, and computer knowledge.

My Business

I currently operate a transport business of 3 Omni Maruti Suzuki Vans that operate around Machakos Town business center offering Taxi services or public service vehicle, I also offer Money transfer services through Mpesa dealership. I do have 10 outlets opened for the money transfer services. All this business is under Matrix Holding Limited where am the Managing Director. My returns from the business per month from the taxi services is USD 340 and from the Money transfer services USD113. I have employed approximately 13 employees in my enterprises and my goal is to expand it the venture and afford opportunities for more young people to join me and solve the issues of unemployment in Kenya and in my County.
The business supplements my budget and helps me support my family on daily basis.

Loan Proposal

This is my fourth loan application from Zidisha Inc. I am the owner of 3 Maruti Omni Van seven seater taxis which offers town service to Machakos Town residents. If my loan is approved I will spent the money on buying spare parts($209) for the breaking systems and replacing vehicle tires($261) for my taxi vans; two of my taxis have faulty breaking system because of wearing out, the Break Cylinders and Break Boosters need to be replaced with new parts which are not that cheap but expensive, and also the tires for my taxis need to be replaced with new ones soonest possible. The remaining money($178) will be used as working capital fund for the business. The cost of me fixing all this is approximately $649 in total. The benefit of doing this is for the safety purposes of my drivers and clients, and it will also save the business unnecessary costs which are eating into the profits by wasting a lot of time in the garage instead of being at work, I also believe by fixing the breaking systems is truly respecting the road safety laws which is very important- for it reduces chances of accidents on the roads. By putting my taxi vehicles in good conditions always, puts me in business at all times, with no time wastage, and that sustains my daily profits, which saves time of being at the garage all the time. I strongly believe in my business , and to really make it in the business of transport, I need to be on top of things, all my taxis must be in a very good condition to operate smoothly. My humble prayers is to get this loan and fix the small needs of my taxis and continue making MONEY, because that's good business. I thank Zidisha Inc. and donors for funding my earlier loan applications on time and fully. I ask you all to trust me on this new loan application for me to continue doing good business. Hoping for the best. God Bless.
