About Me
My name is Wilson Onduto Odhiambo born and raised in Homabay county but currently residing in Busia county. I Live in Busia with my family two daughter and a son. I went to Agok Primary school,then st mark secondary and proceeded to Egerton University where I graduated as an agriculture Economist.
During my days in university my family could not support m,e efficiently and therefore I could not get some basics needs like books .To supplement what my family could get I decided to do some farming not knowing that returns were so good,after getting good returns ,I decided to do farming as business.
My kids what to be economists though the young one prefers Nursing. I work hard to make their dreams .I come true.
During my free time i watch soccer,train youths on both farming and soccer and play with my kids.
My Business
I am a diversified high value horticultural crop farmer ,I grow tulips,cabbages,carrots,kales and capsicum in my farm. The demand for my goods is high because of good quality and larger market due to huge non-farming population that depend on few farmers for their supplies.
The goods are important because they are basics and are consumed daily by each family.
In a month my costs average is $150 for manures,seeds ,labor and transportation to the market. my revenues are $350 in a month .
I use my proceeds to buy books and pay fees for my young family and also take care of my aging parents.
Loan Proposal
Dear lenders,I have prepared an acre for planting water melon, that matures in two and half months and are mainly consumed during dry season,however due to school fees,I am unable to finance this project so that it can kick off as soon as possible, I am requesting for $100 to help me buy high quality seeds,for planting.Thank you
