About Me

Attended Cambridge secretarial college, worked as secretary , from my meagre earnings went to college to get professional certificates, got a better job. Saved and bought land, sold land and got profit and started business with the profit. We have a lake the biggest fresh water lake in Africa. my son would like to be a Lawyer when he grows up and my daughter an entrepreneur. my unique hobby is Adventure,

My Business

i do fish farming in lake victoria . This is quite an interesting business with high returns but high risks involved , i have been doing this for the last three months and hope to get a good yield at the end of the the season. fish take about 8 months to maturity.
i chose this business because there is a deficit of fish production in lake victoria the number of fish in the lake cannot sustain our population there is high demand of fish since people are now health conscious and believe that white meat is good for their health.
typical costs include the fish feeds, labour and maintainance
i intend to use the profit for paying start up costs and also to for re investment

Loan Proposal

purchase of fingelings 10g , 1000 pieces @ $ 0.1 = $ 100
purchase of fish feeds 4 bags 90 kg @ $ 35 = $ 140
transport $ 19.8 = 19.8
total expenditure = 259.8

    i purchased fingerlings..
The purchase made a difference as i was able to restock my cages
The earnings have not increased as such as this is a new cycle.
I made losses in the previous sales - i lost almost everything - i went to my cage only to find my fish were less than 100grams, i expected to harvest at least fish of not less than 600 grams this was a big blow to me. after all the time and effort i put into the project, but i still have hope alive, it is a good venture but only if you are able to invest in things like surveillance, CCTV cameras, 24 hour security personnel patrols.

    to my lenders:
i would like to restock new fingerlings for my 3 cages
i used the previous loan to procure feeds for my fish
My earnings increased due to adequate feeding patterns which which was made possible through your generous donations in form of loans advanced
i used the earnings to buy more and more fish feeds

A big thankyou to my lenders for giving me another opportunity to improve my business through lending me money to buy feeds.
i have decided to supplement the fish feeds with a cheaper but nutritious fish meal, in my mothertongue the feed is called 'OCHUNG'A' and a sack goes for USD. 50. the remaining USD 9 was used for procuring salt, a brush and paying for logistics.
Thanks to my lenders for trusting in me, and giving me this opportunity to change my life.

    Regards
    Linnet
