About Me
Hi zidisha family,. My name is Shawn Odhiambo. i am 22 years old and i live in the capital city of kenya, in nairobi and i am a born again christian. I live in a neighbourhood called Umoja estate, phase 2, located in the eastlands side of nairobi. I started school when aged 5 years old and went to Wanja and Kim pre primary. Then i went to Bidii primary school at the age of 7 and did my KCPE (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education.) I then proceeded to Ofafa Jericho secondary where i did my KCSE (kenya Certificate of Secondary Education) in the year 200 when i was 18 yrs old.Due to financial constraints, i did not proceed to college but instead found employment as an apprentice in a mechanics shop where we fix cars. I have been there ever since. Last year, i introduced car washing services at the mechanics shop and i must say,the response was quite positive. Most clients prefer coming to pick a clean car after its mechanical problems have been fixed.
My Business
I will use this loan to buy a pressure car wash kit to do detailed cleaning inside the vehicles. Because apart from a gleaming outside, clients also prefer to have a fresh and clean interior. The hand held pressure wash kit, will boost my income quite significantly because then, i can increase the car wash prices coz this will also cover interior cleaning. Currently, i charge kshs 150 per car, but with the machine i can increase it to kshs 300. I am the only one offering car wash services in the area and hence the potential for very fast growth. I am focused, determined and driven to make this business venture work, succeed and grow.
Loan Proposal
If i receive the loan, it will buy the much needed pressure wash machine which in my country kenya goes for exactly beween 9000 - 9500. I intend to bargain on the price and whatever savings i'll be able to make during the purchase of the said machine, i intend to buy some interior perfumes. The perfumes will make the cars smell fresh and clean which will appeal to the clients even more. Thank you very much. Asante sana.
