About Me

I Benard, number five in a family of eight went to school at the age of six that's when I joined nursery school at Kimaech primary school in the year 1998.I then proceeded on to class one and so fort .Life sometimes became hard when I was in class four;food was not easy to find .Having been born in a humble where my parents had to go for day jobs or contracts so as to feed us .In class eight I was able to go for a-day contract or serve in a local hotel in order to buy my school uniform since by then primary education was free.I never gave up in life,I struggled until I came to end my primary education.I passed well by then and attain 339 marks out of 500 which enabled me to join Koiwa High School form one.At Koiwa high school the first term never end before being send home for school fees.Because the fees were expensive my parents never afford,I then came home and stayed at home until I got some money which could never even by a shoe.I had 500 KES so I footed from home to my grandmother's house in Litein-a distance of 21 Km.I then rested and the next day I went to seek for a vacancy at form two(in 2008) though I never completed form one.Life there became strange,I had to take new subjects of because the school could not offer some subjects like computer studies which I took.I stayed there studying for a term and school was needed. No one at home wanted to know of my studies.I just struggled singly.I therefore had to torge the teachers because I knew there was no fees.Later the principal told me to back and go home.I had no otherwise.I came home till in 2012 I joined Kiptenden secondary school when my stepbrother decided to pay for my form three and four. That year my mother passed away due a certain disease. Problems then followed each in succession but I overcame all.In 2013 I sat for my KCSE exams and managed to attain a mean grade of B-(Aggregate points 56).This never allowed me to join University regular programme.I choosed to stay home to start a business.
The goodness with our landis that it is a tea growing area so it is to get money by plucking for someone to be paid.
Another thing is that at home I at least have a three quarter piece of land for plant in tea(cash crop),food crops and for keeping cattle.
Having now learned through lots of experiences,I really prayed will work hard to make my children live a better life not like mine.I now know how to corp with life.
At the moment I buy and sell cattle to butcheries or other cattle keepers at a od profit.
I first started buying, raring and selling chicken but when I saw it was not enough,I preferred entertaining people at a video of late;showing movies and football.
I then preferred farming later because our area is tea growing zone,I planted tea plants at home where a kilogram is sold at 14 KES and also there is a bonus of 20-25 KES a kg.But at this moment I buy and sell cattle.

My Business

As a business man who is serious and eager to work so as to help the community and to earn a living I chose to buy and sell cattle of which I earn a reasonable profit.I chose this business because not many people choose it.Day-in-day out butcheries are in need of cattle to slaughter.
The business is legal, tax free. The business has no loss since I can even keep the cattle a week waiting for a good price instead of getting a loss.
After doing this business I used the profit to educate my two sisters in secondary school and use some reinvest in business.

Loan Proposal

This loan when I receive I will first start by buying one cattle at 140 dollars and ensure I sell it at a profit of not less than a dollar.
After selling the cattle to a butchery or any willing buyer,I will then reinvest the profit in buying atleast a bigger cattle than the previous. This I will make sure it goes on every week making profits and reivesting.
When the profits are atleast better or reasonable,I will then use some to pay my sisters school fees who arebinhihh school and use the other fraction to cather for our domestic use.
