About Me

I had to stop my education when I was 23 because there was a lack of finances, so I had to be away from school for 20 years. I got married and got seriously into farming. Life was not so easy because there were some barriers like communicating in the official language, English. After I realized the importance of school, I went back to school, and I will be completing my secondary education in August next year. I am looking forward to studying more. Education is the best equalizer in life.

My Business

All my activities with the loan will be very much attached to farming activities. Currently I have been doing business as a small-scale farmer, but the main aim is to commercialize my farming activities. I will use this loan to buy cattle, fatten them, and sell them for beef. People normally eat beef, they like beef, and they get their protein. All across Africa, it is more or less a staple food.
I do farming because it is an inborn business. When I was born, my father was doing farming. In short, it is the business that I understand better.
One cow is around 4,000 kwacha, and when you sell it, you might get 5,500 for it. There is also a need to spray for ticks, which costs about 500 kwacha to spray about 20 animals for three months.
I use the profits for my school and my childrens' school, for home use, and at times helping the needy. I will also invest more in agriculture.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy cattle, fatten them, and sell them. I will need to pay for tick spray as well. I will use money I already have together with the loan to buy a cow and tick spray. One cow is around 314 dollars. There is also a need to spray for ticks, which costs 39 dollars to spray about 20 animals for three months.
This will uplift my standard of living, and also increase the base of helping the needy.
From one loan, I expect to make about 30 dollars in profit.
