I was born to mr Edward Washiali and Annet Ouma, I am the second born in our family. I went to ukwala primary school and Ugenya secondary school. I then proceeded to Bukura college for certificate in animal health.
After finishing my certificate in animal health I worked as a vetenery extension officer but the salary was very little , I saved and bought a heifer that gave birth after one year. I sold milk and took a bank loan to buy another cow, I used my salary to clear the loan then resigned and started concentrating in diary farming.
i have one child ,he is one year old and I work hard and smart to give him a better future.
I love soccer and when free ,I join my friends to play and watch soccer.
I provide milk to my esteemed clients, I sell clean milk to the final consumers who include hotels and individuals. I also sell manure from the cows .
There are few diary farmers in my locality and fresh milk is scarce and my farm milk is on very high demand, I can not meet the market demand as at now.
I choose diary business because of high profit margins,my love for cows and my experience in handling cows.
my typical costs per month is $150 and my monthly income per month are $380. I use the income to reinvest in the business and take care of my family through purchase of basic needs.
I would use the money to buy cement that would be used in plastering the cow shed under construction. The cement would be 40 bags at cost of $280. and would use the balance of $20 on transport.
With cemented cow shed the cleanness in the farm would improve hence reducing the diseases and helping keep the farm more clean and productive.
I expect my revenues to increase ,though these will be in long term.Thank you always
