My name is Michael Keya, I was born in Nairobi Kenya back in 1987 i hold a bachelors degree in business management accounting from Moi university, Am also a husband and a father to two loving boys. I came to start my business back in 2014, after two years of tarmacking, unemployment is rampant in this country i decided to venture into agribusiness. The village i come from people love eating chicken alot, that was what informed me to start a poultry farm
on my free time i love spending time with my family and reading motivational books
I started poultry farming informed by the high demand of chicken delicacy in kenya, In my farm i keep chickens for both meat and eggs purpose, currently i have a flock of about 200 chickens
My typical cost in running my poultry farm is the the cost of feeds and disease and management control. Revenue usually comes from selling eggs and mature birds, i plough back the profit earned hoping that one day i will own a flock of 5000 BIRDS
Keeping a flock productive is important to many chicken owners.. However, if you are raising laying hens primarily for the eggs, you want to get the best return on your chicken. There are things you can do to increase the number of eggs you collect from your flock. the bag of feed will cost me around $ 5 and this will help with increasing egg production
