About Me

My name is Gilbert obura Nyamul, Born again
Christian, raised up by a widow in a home
village (Ambira) in Siaya County Kenya.
We were three boys in school and bringing us up
was big task for our mother who was selling vegetables in a village market as a source of income . Raising my
school fees especially for secondary school was
a challange for her so I had to do some work
in maize farms for our neighbors in order to help pay
part of my school fees.
After form four I landed on a factory job with the
Everready Batteries(K) ltd but this was short lived
as we were laid off, declared redundant after three
years ,before I could do much.
I then opened a laundry shop in Kaptembwo
village in Nakuru .I was doing the laundry work and
my wife was at the reception .We worked very hard and
this helped us to take our first  born girl to a good nursery
school .
Bad luck struck when my wife died when she went
to deliver our baby in a provicial hospital in Nakuru where
the doctors had gone on strike.
She left me with one day baby boy whom I took to
a baby home where I pay some fee for his care on
a monthly basis.I had to close the laundry shop
because I couldn’t manage it alone and started
a business of Supplying fresh fish in restaurants.my hobby is travelling and reading books especially bible.

My Business

I had to close the laundry shop
because I couldn’t manage it alone and started
a business of Supplying fresh fish in restaurants.where I found supply of chicken also lucrative. I therefore started a poultry farm specialising in kuroiler chicken.
Kuroiler Chicken is a dual purpose breed which
grows upto 4 kg in 6 months.it also lays between
140-150 eggs a year.It is also resistant to most diseases
These chicken have high demand in local restaurants
as they have tastier meat compared to other chicken .
Their meat is also soft and tender. Their eggs are
larger than indegious ones hence sell faster .
I operate from my residential house and this
cuts the cost of renting a shop. This business helps me to educate my children. My first Born daughter has finished form four and wants to
pursue her degree in Human Resource Management
in a university. The younger boy wants to be a
teacher ,He is still in primary school in class seven.
I intend to buy more kuroiler chicken and chick feeds if granted this loan. Later I intend to buy an incubator for hatching eggs and buy a machine to produce my own chicken feeds to cut cost .

Loan Proposal

I would like to buy more chicken since right now am left with only 11 hens and 7chicks.This would cost me 150 Kenya shiilings for each chick and I would like to buy 50 chicks this would cost me atotal of 7500 shilling Kenyan money I also need to vaccinate them which would cost me around 2500 shillings per month and I need to vaccinate them once per month .my son iw also starting his exams next week and am believing God he will pass so I need to start saving his fee for next year as he joins his secondary education so through getting more chick stock my earnings will increase and I will be able to do that.God bless you my lenders as you plan to fund me thank you in Advance.
